Loipart Delivers USPH-Compliant Equipment and Installation During AIDALUNA’s Major Refurbishment

Loipart Completes USPH-Compliant Installation on AIDALUNA

Loipart has completed a equipmnet upgrade and installation that meets the stringent requirements of the United States Public Health (USPH) standards.

This project involved several key adjustments to ensure optimal hygiene and ease of cleaning:

  • All equipment was fully welded at the base to prevent water ingress during cleaning.

  • Side panels were modified to feature rounded profiles rather than 90-degree corners, improving sanitation and eliminating hard-to-clean corners.

  • USPH-approved water hoses were installed to facilitate efficient and hygienic cleaning.

These enhancements reflect Loipart’s commitment to delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene in marine environments.

AIDA Cruises completed a seven-week refurbishment of the cruise ship AIDALUNA at the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille, France. The project, carried out from 23 October to 8 December 2025, marked the second phase of the “AIDA Evolution” program, aimed at modernizing the company’s Selection-class fleet.
The extensive maintenance period focused on technical upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and a comprehensive overhaul of all guest and crew areas. Approximately 2,200 specialists were involved in the work. Following the refit, AIDALUNA embarked on its first post-refurbishment voyage on 10 December 2025, operating a five-day itinerary in the Western Mediterranean.
